During the course of her education, Dr. Shainhouse volunteered to work with special needs children and adults to get a better understanding of how to improve their quality of life. She also worked as a part-time kinesiologist for 8 years at Toronto's Don Mills Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Group. Dr. Shainhouse is currently the supervising physician of the Intravenous Medicine Program at the teaching clinic of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She is also a teaching assistant in Functional Anatomy, Physical Medicine, Acupuncture and Venipuncture. Her clinic focus includes general family medicine, sports medicine, weight management, and digestive disorders. She also has a special interest in cancer and other chronic diseases. In addition to running her own clinic and teaching, Dr. Shainhouse is on staff at Toronto's Medicor Cancer Centers. |
